Objectives

(Objectives 2021-2023 and beyond) The University for Humanistic Studies (UvH), founded in 1989, is a small denominational university (550 students and 120 staff members), explicitly inspired by humanist traditions. The University has a small number of inter-institutional agreements, and our goal is to expand this number. Internationalization as a policy within the university is becoming increasingly more important, and it has gained a lot of attention and input from various stakeholders in the university. The UvH also has a long-term agreement with Utrecht University (UU), allowing UvH students to study abroad for credit mobility (SMS) via the UU. This grants our students access to additional exchange destinations. The available knowledge about and experience with internationalization is steadily increasing, and since summer 2023 we have a newly created position of internationalization officer, whose duties mainly consist of supporting and developing the various internationalization activities and goals of the university. During call 2021, we wanted to encourage students to study/conduct internships abroad despite the COVID 19. We currently have five inter-institutional agreements, and our students went to two of our partners.
