Our objectives were: 1. To create a dedicated adult learners' community of Dutch and Hungarian people, in which ongoing dialogue, long-term community learning, and co-created, progressive community initiatives can be born. 2. To strengthen the long-term, strategic cooperation between HCAF and Jánoshida Municipality around conscious ageing and conscious living, that is inclusive to all members of the communities around these organisations. 3. To support ageing individuals and communities to improve their digital skills, literacy and wellness in order to support the success of their active, healthy and autonomous ageing, as well as their long term capacities to remain active and contributing members of their communities in a digital world.
A long-term strategic cooperation between HCAF and Janoshida Municipality (JM), called JANOSHIDA2030 (www.janoshida.eu), was established in early 2020. The aim of this is to offer a European, cross-regional, community-level solution to many of the current crises (eg. care, housing, climate, the democratic deficit of the EU) as well as the fact that Europe is ageing quickly. The idea is to benefit from the diversity and the potential synergies of a central and a peripheral EU member state. In that development, we recognised that there is a huge need for educational and learning activities to improve the skills of the ageing communities and members of the HCAF and Janoshida communities and ecosystems. Also to establish and improve cohesion between the two countries on community levels. Both HCAF and JM are new to Erasmus+, UnfOlding was our first Erasmus adult learning project. We applied for this project to be able develop our conscious ageing adult learning training structure, also the long-term community of adult learners and the education-related cooperation between HCAF and JM.
