The main theme of the youth exchange was the promotion of environmental protection through art. The participants learned about and discussed the most important environmental problems and risks that existed in their countries and throughout Europe. They learned about how citizens could influence and make the environmental situation better, and transferred this knowledge to others through creative means and art. The project had several objectives, including encouraging young people to better understand ecology and environmental protection, which affected both the rural and urban space and the way in which Europe was dealing with this problem. It also aimed to develop intercultural dialogue between young participants from different countries through activities based on non-formal education, highlighting the traditional customs of their countries. The project aimed to find ways in which local young people could articulate and promote messages to the public, while promoting creative and artistic messages that would be done by the participants. These messages showed their perceptions of eco-development of rural areas, the main topic of this project.
