Our youth group wanted to achieve the following objectives. The youth group organised and achieved, together with the 'Romania Committee’, various activities to increase social awareness and participation of youngsters in society. We had our focus on health, green transition, sustainable and responsible behaviour and we made participants aware of the importance of measures to reduce the environmental footprint. We did fundraising activities to support the Reformed Church in Sânmartin to strengthen the community life within the region, supply funds for micro-credits and gain social awareness and participation in the society. We assisted young individuals from various parts of the European Union, each with diverse backgrounds, in initiating their future economic endeavours within a sustainable natural and social framework. Through intercultural learning activities, we provided them with the means to utilise their acquired competencies and skills, fostering the development of new essential abilities. Our motivation for undertaking this project stemmed from a desire to impart a broader range of skills, competencies, experiences, and knowledge in areas such as green skills, mental and physical health, creativity, arts, and culture to the youth of our project partners hailing from Hungary, Romania, and the Netherlands. The knowledge gained during the exchange will be linked to the environment in which the youth is living. In regions of Europe with less economic opportunities. The opportunities for young people to find their role in society will increase when they know what sustainability, a healthy lifestyle and understanding of other cultures will contribute to themselves and others in an ever changing environment. As a project team we liked to support the participants - in a non-formal learning environment - to acquire the competences to accomplish this. We liked to make the youngsters aware of their future role on this planet, by increasing competences, skills and tools to be able to influence both their environment and future. Not only at a personal level, but also in the interest of their surrounding networks. As a project team, we helped the participants to identify opportunities, to take initiatives, to recognize and manage risks, to find creative solutions to problems that arise and to communicate successfully about their way of life. As the group consisted of youngsters from different ages, the impact of their learning within their respective communities will be greater. Knowing and understanding people from different countries with respect to the differences in their behaviour and culture helped to reduce discrimination, misunderstandings and xenophobia and raised awareness about how they can cooperate to protect their social, economic and natural environment. This contributed to an increase in European cohesion. In an ever changing world with a growing human population, we have to face our responsibilities. It is hard to stay close to oneself and to live a healthy lifestyle, while we still have to take care of our planet and each other. During the project we focused on important topics, namely: green skills, physical and mental health and creativity, arts and culture. The objective of the project did increase the knowledge and improved the understanding of these topics. In addition, the general competences of the participants were improved.
