Objectives

The needs analysis revealed that women desire jobs but face traditional roles like childcare, insufficient ICT skills, difficulties accessing education, time/space/transportation issues, and lack of knowledge and skills. We wanted to achieve these goals: •Developing an e-learning platform to reduce women's poverty and promote lifelong learning.. •Increasing employment of disadvantaged groups through education. •Proposing solutions for women's poverty. •Providing easy access to education services with distance modules. • Empowering women in career, entrepreneurship, digital skills, and financial literacy. •Creating a strong social education network for women. •Providing professional and personal development trainings. •Including women in the social network with user-friendly mobile applications and e-content. •Contributing to digital transformation in adult education. •Creating a user-friendly e-learning platform. The project aimed to enhance the social and economic inclusion of a target group by enhancing their basic skills, digital/financial literacy, and entrepreneurship through innovative methods like gamification, scenarioization, and layered curriculum, which have not yet gained widespread adoption in adult education.

Background

The problem of gender inequality and low female employment is a global problem.Studies show that men's participation in non-formal education remains at 19.8% and women at 13.8%. 'In European countries, the proportion of women who report not being able to go on their education due to family-related, cost, time and place problems is twice that of men''(UNESCO;2020) To find a solution to this problem, we used gamification to develop e-learning materials in the field of adult education in order to support our own institutions and digital transformation in the field of adult education at European level. It is an ideal and innovative method for adults to achieve positive outcomes in education. We used gamification to create open access courses aimed at increasing the employability of low-skilled women. We aimed to improve employability, social inclusion, and economic growth for housewives, immigrant or refugee women with multiple disabilities who cannot afford education due to their responsibilities. We created online courses in ICT skills, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship, along with a high-quality e-learning platform and mobile application to enhance the skills and competencies of women with multiple disadvantages.
