The CSR4T project aims to achieve several key objectives centered on advancing sustainable tourism and fostering innovation within the VET sector. Our primary goal was to help tourism businesses align with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by embracing the principles of CSR. This includes making these businesses more responsive to internal issues such as people management, diversity, equality, inclusion, and physical and mental well-being, as well as external emergencies like climate change and environmental pressures. Additionally, the project seek to contribute to VET innovation by adopting co-creation principles and engaging direct and indirect beneficiaries (tourism businesses, CSR consultants, and trainers) in the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs. This approach aims to enhance transversal, digital, and green skills. We also focus on CSR training processes among tourism MSMEs to improve acceptance and adoption, facilitating impactful actions transferable across Europe. The project strives to develop a new operative model for C-VET of experts, trainers, and consultants, promoting CSR principles in the tourism sector. We ensured active involvement of final users in producing market-driven results
To address the critical need for integrating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within the tourism sector, aligning with the sustainable development goals of Agenda 2030. Our collective experience has highlighted the critical importance of CSR for sustainable corporate growth in tourism. The project successfully achieved its aim to address the need for innovative training programs to tackle emerging challenges, update Continuous Vocational Education and Training (C-VET) programs reflecting Agenda 2030 priorities, and create accessible training systems to overcome educational barriers. Additionally, the consortium developed a modernized training methodology to meet new demands, promote CSR principles as key drivers for sustainable development, and develop pathways that match tourism business needs with C-VET offerings. The CSR4T project also addressed target group needs by fostering a sustainable mindset, equipping businesses with knowledge and approaches for responsible management, and providing expert guidance on CSR implementation. It supports businesses in transitioning to sustainable practices and integrates digital corporate responsibility. By addressing these needs, the project successfully provides sustainable solutions.
