By implementing this project, we wanted to contribute to more inclusive and diverse societies, and offer a learning experience for young people with less opportunities. Some of main focuses of this project were: history, human rights and democracy, so that the participants could gain skills and knowledge to support them in advocating for themselves and being active citizens. The objectives of this project were: - to learn about our common history, democracy and human rights, in general and as it relates to people with disabilities through non-formal education methods – to stimulate and support the participants' communication skills, intercultural skills, creativity and active citizenship – to promote and foster the values of inclusion and diversity, solidarity and friendship, democracy and active participation, and environmental awareness - to give young people with less opportunities a shared space in which to foster friendships, peer learning and intercultural learning.
