Realizing of the project entitled „Academy of the University of the Third Age of Łazy's Modern Coaching Competencies” allowed the U3A staff for raising its knowledge and abilities of effective communication, public speeches, informal ways of teaching being applied in another country within adult education area, techniques of social inclusion and taking care of diversity in a classroom, avoiding using of stereotypes and reducing them, tackling discrimination, managing stress and group conflict. Taking part in the project enabled the organization for strengthening its international dimension. The U3A Łazy deepened and developed the cooperation with the Greek company ECTE (European Center in Training for Employment). By taking part in the Erasmus+ project the U3A’s staff strengthened its competencies of realizing the mobility projects what enabled them to coordinate project actions in effective way. Apart from this the project’s participants raised their language, organizational and social abilities. By taking part in the international mobility and the course the 30 representatives of managing and educational staff of the U3A improved their knowledge of effective organization’s and group’s management.
University of the Third Age of Łazy has been founded in 2007. The association aims at preserving and increasing intellectual, psychological and physical efficiency of the U3A members. Its goal is also to educate the listeners in different fields of study. U3A Łazy promotes social communication, has an impact on individual interests, promotes touristic, regional sightseeing and preserving the monuments as well as organizes sport events of local and nationwide range. The U3A’s students’ activity includes classes and sections of: language, IT, yoga, photography, culture, cuisine, art, literature, tourism and NordicWalking, water sports, archery and shooting, water-aerobic, cabaret 50+, fashion models 50+. One of the U3A statutory goals assumes realizing once a year the sport event entitled International Olympic Games of U3A and Senior Organizations “Third Age Starting”. The goal of the project entitled “Academy of the University of the Third Age of Łazy's Modern Coaching Competencies” was an increase of managing and educational staff of U3A abilities in a range managing the organization and the sections that have been created within its functioning in order to realize its mission without any obstacles.
