Our goal was, in accordance with the needs of the teacher-student, to equip our teachers with knowledge and skills necessary to use computer programs and incorporate technology into the teaching process, thus to enrich the quality of education in our school. To achieve this, our employees had to acquire competences in the use of digital resources that support didactic processes, in order to enrich the educational services provided to students, and thus more effectively respond to their needs, i.e. meet the basic needs of the school.
We are a primary school with a kindergarten unit. 18 children study in the so-called zero grade. We have 160 students in grades 1-8. There is a group of students at school with special educational needs (autism spectrum disorders, problems with sensory integration, ADHD). They require the constant presence of a support teacher and psychological support provided by the school. Additionally, our school supervises home education (7 students of different ages). Online learning, forced by the epidemiological situation in connection with Covid-19, has shown that many teachers, including teachers working in our school, are not proficient enough in using computers and using programs to easily conduct engaging and interesting distant lessons. Most of the teachers at our school expressed a desire to improve their qualifications in this area. Therefore, we decided to write a project, the implementation of which would help us solve this problem. We assumed that our school should educate creative and independent citizens of the 21st century. Unfortunately, the low competences of teachers had a negative impact on the achievement of the set goals.
