Background

The school has a rich educational offer and is constantly working on activating young people, trying to provide them with the opportunity to develop their interests, mainly in the form of implemented projects, including projects co-financed by the European Union, which are a great opportunity for our students to learn about other cultures and for their personal development. The school implements a special prevention program, which is the main part of the project's activities. The program’s the goals are the ones we wanted to achieve during the implementation of the project. The school is located in a small town, students do not have much chance of development - before the pandemic, they struggled with educational and emotional problems, chronic diseases, loneliness. This was deepened by the COVID-19 pandemic and the long-term lockdown, which led to losing contact with their peers. During online classes, we observed a significant deterioration in the bonds between students, their loneliness and difficulties in adapting to the situation. After analyzing the survey on the impact of the pandemic on students, we decided to take appropriate steps to change the situation, and the project turned out to be the perfect tool for this task.
