Objectives

The objective of this project is to support the development of our school as a modern institution present in the mainstream of European education and to support the creative development of young people, opening them to the value of cultural and social diversity. It was carried out in parallel with projects implemented under the accreditation we had obtained in the vocational education sector. The main goals of the project: 1. Integrating a group of leaders of school project activities for the international activity of the school – it is important due to the implementation of the Erasmus Plan, it strengthens the involvement of leaders in project activities, 2. "Adventure education training" - training in the form of workshops for a group of school leaders focused on the development of soft skills, managing the group of school leaders focused on the activities and acquiring tools and strategies of non-formal education, 3. Incorporating school staff into the mainstream of modern education and development of language competences - this is a continuation of the previous POWER project – it is a particularly important goal, because project activities and personal development of the staff depend on the knowledge of the language.

Background

We are a 4-year comprehensive music school in the process of reorganization from a 6-year school. Currently, we have 4 classes of a general high school and a 4-year secondary music school. The lead authority is the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Our graduates study at Polish and foreign music academies and universities. They often undertake stage activities (solo, chamber, orchestral and choral) at the same time. At school, we implement numerous local and international educational programs. We have 25 years of experience in implementing foreign educational programs - our partners are schools and associations from Germany, France, Slovenia, and now also from Portugal and Spain. The main idea of our projects is to open up to the diversity of European culture through the art of music and the competence of the teaching staff. The project covered by the report includes - language trips for teachers and administration as well as training in English and Adventure Education methodology for teachers of general subjects, music theory subjects and instrumentalists.
