The first aim of participation in the project was increasing teachers’ digital competences and acquiring knowledge on IT tools in teaching. As a consequence we anticipated developments in students’ skills as well. The way of teaching was thoroughly analyzed. Also participants of the training courses shared their experience and knowledge concerning the best practices so as teaching methods could be modern creative and effective in the future. The second aim of participation in the project was increasing linguistic competences in order to improve the quality of teaching foreign languages and advance communication.Once we have known effective and innovative methods of teaching foreign languages, we would be inspired to promote that international way of learning. It was crucial to continue the students’ exchange and realization of partnership projects. We desired to boost openness to foreign cultures and at the same time tolerance and readiness to integrate in the school environment.
We offered modern education to our students and teachers by means of Erasmus+ ‘European Digital School’ project. The project itself was related to changes in education at the European level. The project concerned the field of digitalization and improvement of the quality of teaching foreign languages. Also it aimed at developing cross-cultural competences. Our objective was to improve IT infrastructure in the school. We observed teachers’ deficiency in mastering information technology and using IT tools in the classroom. We were also fully aware of the fact that IT equipment itself do not improve the quality of teaching. Teaching foreign languages requires implementing some changes like innovations and creativity. Also we needed to apply activating methods in the process of teaching. Intensive, international training enhanced the quality of teaching and strengthen students’ and teachers’ engagement in realization of international projects.
