As an organization, through the implementation of this project we wanted to: - build a didactic and methodological base (in all subjects and educational levels) to raise awareness and promote pro-ecological behavior) - significantly improve students' awareness and activities for the environment in the field of pro-ecological behavior (constant, unforced waste segregation, economical use of energy and water resources on and outside the school) - shape the habits of ecological culture in the school and local community - promote pro-ecological behavior in the family - after the mobility of students and teachers - implement the solutions observed during job shadowing on the school environment. - create and run a school garden
The school in Mroków is a rural school. The aim is education focused on developing the ability to use Polish, English and German, preparing students for life in the information society, comprehensive preparation of students for self-education and conscious search, selection and use of information, educating students to properly receive and use the media. The school's mission is also to educate students in the spirit of tolerance and respect for their own and other people's dignity, and to support the educational function of the family. The analysis of the school showed a low level of knowledge and pro-environmental skills. This is due to the lack of ecological content, as well as activities that promote such behavior. Teachers do not have the appropriate didactic base, and they do not know the methods and techniques of work to promote ecological behavior during lessons. There is a large group of foreign students in the school, which intensifies the problem. The activities will equip teachers with the necessary knowledge, enable the development of an appropriate didactic base, which will transfer into students. Participation in the project means the development of potential and gaining new practical skills.
