Background

VIII PALOl in Krakow teaches in classes with the Polish and international IB exams for students aged 14-19 from Krakow and the surrounding area, individualizing the teaching process through individual tutoring for each student, individual selection of graduation extensions. The school is open to students with special educational needs (16% have psychological and pedagogical certificates and opinions). We conduct global and international education as part of the Unesco Associated School and projects with partner schools. We undertake social activities: volunteering, pro-environmental campaigns, projects within the framework of "Zwolnieni z Teorii". In order to maintain the wide activity of the school, confirmed by the annual high position in the "Perspektywy" ranking, a program was introduced that will maintain the activity and commitment of teachers, equip them with competences appropriate for everyone, ensure self-confidence and prevent professional burnout. We make sure that the student who graduates from school behaves ethically, is a critical thinker, curious about the world and people. To be able to maintain work based on: openness, critical thinking, inquisitiveness, communicativeness the school must strengthen teachers.
