Objectives

The implementation of this project is part of the European development plan of our facility. Due to the fact that in our center we notice the lack of opportunities to fully implement practical vocational training in specialized plants and institutions, which is related to the specific location of the city and the lack of access to more internship places in the gastronomy and hotel industry and the lack of willingness on the part of the labor market. Wanting to be actively involved in the development of students and employees, our center established the following tasks to be implemented in the European development plan, which it wanted to implement as part of the project: - improving the quality of school work, among others, by improving professional, language, intercultural and interpersonal competences, developing entrepreneurship and initiative of students; - improving the employability of students after leaving school; - raising the qualifications of the staff and adapting them to the needs of the reformed school and the changing conditions of the European labor market; - establishing cooperation with European partners in order to exchange experiences, modify the school's work concept in terms of development.

Background

SOSW No. 2 in Przemyśl deals with the education and revalidation of deaf and hard of hearing children and youth and with multiple couplings; among others autism, mild to moderate mental retardation, and cerebral palsy. Children and youth aged 3 to 24 study at the Centre. We provide students with an adapted teaching organization (special methods and forms of work), help from specialists, conditions for speech development. Our school applied for this project because we educate young people through comprehensive personal and professional development as part of apprenticeships, increasing entrepreneurship, creativity as well as developing soft skills. In addition to the valuable and measurable development of professional competence, the internship trip gave the opportunity to get to know another country, its culture, history, language, climatic and natural conditions, specificity, to notice the differences and similarities between individual countries and to broaden the perspective of perceiving the world. For many participants, it was the only such opportunity to go abroad, which could bring positive changes to their lives.
