The Medical University of Silesia in Katowice has been ensuring the highest standards of education for 75 years, and is a modern University that constantly modifies its educational offer. An important point of the strategy is the University's promotion on the international market, to which SUM's participation in the Erasmus+ Programme contributes. Student and staff mobility enables the exchange of experience, information on teaching programmes, transfer of knowledge, learning about foreign healthcare systems, deepening cooperation with partner institutions and acquiring new partners. Participants in the programme emphasise that mobility increases linguistic competence, as well as awareness of social diversity and a better understanding of the European Union and its values. In addition to achieving qualitative goals, the University also wants to meet quantitative objectives by steadily increasing the number of mobilities carried out.
