The aim was to develop the participants’ competences, promote the idea of internationalisation, worldview tolerance and cultural openness. Of course, it was also equally important to build an integrated academic community and maintain the intercultural nature of the university as an integral part of modern education. As for mobilities, not only do they help with the acquisition of new knowledge and cultural competences, but they also open the doors to self-development of linguistic competences. They enable both the development of proficiency in the language of instruction, as well as the language used in the community or environment of the host university. Additionally, the mobility experience itself, fosters intercultural cooperations skills. Classes and traineeships abroad shape valuable employee qualities in a student and graduate community of the University of Lodz, so ultimately, they are better prepared to enter the increasingly international labour market. Another crucial goal of the project was to improve the overall workshop among academic and administrative staff. This in effect increases the quality of education, as well as the effectiveness of administrative services and makes the educational offer more diverse.
