The aim of the project was to further strengthen integration of the University of Silesia with European higher education area, both in relation to educational and research aspects of the university activities, through: - Intensifying the European educational exchange of students and staff, increasing the number of students and employees, including non-academics, with rich European experience, increasing the participation of students and employees from European partner universities in the activities of the University of Silesia; - Increasing competences of university employees; - Improving quality and strengthening European dimension of the university educational activities; - Development of the network of European connections and intensification of international cooperation; - Verification of the degree of adaptation of education programmes and teaching methods to the requirements of the integrated labour and economic market; - Strengthening European integration and counteracting negative social, economic and political phenomena; - Supporting European values, especially regarding human rights, common security, environmental protection; Particular importance was given to the implementation of short-term student mobilities.
