In the first year of our FEIS accreditation, we focused on achieving accreditation goal number 3: Combating youth unemployment. Under goal number 4: Intercultural education and combating stereotypes, we implemented exchange programs based on intercultural education principles, which contributed to a better understanding of the possibilities of various cultural spheres and functioning in an intercultural world. The actions were designed to prepare young people for education and work in a multicultural environment. Systematically, we developed a cooperation network of youth - the Youth City Council - schools - NGOs, in the city of Bytom. An important goal was to include people with fewer opportunities in these activities. We particularly focused on this during the first exchange. Under goal number 2: the development of volunteerism, we strengthened our cooperation with school volunteer clubs, whose members were participants in the exchanges. We also found leaders - young volunteers whom we prepared for activities in the following years of accreditation (e.g. as group leaders and local coordinators).
