Objectives

Health related Organization for Promotion and Prevention "HOPP" is an organization working for the health of the society. Through our activities, we would like to put attention to the importance of a healthy lifestyle. At the same time, we want to bring the subject of public health closer to the public. The aim of the association is to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, which we implement by strengthening non-formal methods of health education. Our mission is also to improve the quality of health education by developing innovative methods both in Polish and English for wide groups of beneficiaries. In our activities, we also focus on creativity and non-formality, which positively affects the mental well-being, sense of security in the field of education and health awareness of young people. Through the implementation of a project in which we implemented 2 activities: youth exchange "HOPP into environmental health" and training course for youth workers and educators "HOPP into child welfare education". The aim of the exchange was to increase young people's awareness of the cause-and-effect relationship between health and the environment. Young people not only increased their knowledge in the field of environmental health, but also felt that they had a real impact on the well-being of the surrounding environment, and thus their own health. The aim of the training was to familiarize its participants with the principles of safe education, known in Scandinavia as "child welfare education". Ideas so widely promoted in Scandinavian schools are still poorly spread in other European countries. Thanks to the effects of our cooperation with a partner from Norway, during the implementation of the StartNow+ project, rules based on the idea of child welfare were developed. During the training, the participants became acquainted with these principles and deepened their knowledge in the field of non-formal education.
