Objectives

What did we want to achieve by implementing our project? Our desire was to promote equity among young people from different countries in Europe. We wanted to create equal expectations for all the young people - with no difference if they have visual impairment, with no difference on their social background, if they are coming from a rural area or from a big city. With activities, which were adapted to the abilities and talents of our participants, we wanted to ensure for everyone space and possibility to grow, develop new skills and abilities. The main thing that we wanted to achieve, and what we actually managed to achieve - was integration of youth with and without seeing disability; Organising mixed-ability activities, we wanted also to attract public attention to the issues of visually impairment people, inspire and empower other youth workers, organisations to involve in their everyday activities youth with visual impairment ; We are aware, that our project is just a small step, how ever step by step we want to achieve a world where will be no architectural barriers, no barries in our heads connected with any kind of disability. With this project we wanted to create a space and possibility for young people with and without seeing disability to discover and develop their passion for the world of music. We wanted to give young people possibility to express their concerns, feelings and attitudes with the help of music. We also wanted to discover the unity of Europeans - to show how beautiful can be our variety of cultures, voices, languages and instruments. What were the objectives of our project? – create possibility for youth from Poland, Spain, Greece, Romania, The North Macedonia and Turkey to have international educational mobility experience in safe and friendly environment – meet with their peers, live together and create while gaining new skills and personal development; - develop in young people new competences, like work in intercultural team, time management, conflict management etc. Increase their music skills - integrate youth with and without seeing disability; give possibility for youth without seeing disability to get to know reality of their peers with visual impairment, and to give youth with visual impairment to socialise with peers with no visual impairment ; - break and overcome stereotypes, prejudices connected with visual impairment; - develop among youth specific new technical skills and knowledge connected with sound collecting, recording, editing; - find new, creative solutions and ways for communications across disabilities and cultures - with the help of universal language of music; - empower youth with a sense of initiative, self-confidence, inspire with new ideas for active participation in society and active spending of free time; - increase participants' chances for employment, by developing and improving the competences demanded by the global economy and employers (namely such as knowledge of foreign languages, openness, tolerance, a sense of initiative, intercultural and social competences, etc.) - to start cooperation between international organisations that work with blind youth and those who are open to involve these group in their activities - to motivate youth with and without disability for independence and initiative - to spread information about opportunities that gives Erasmus program
