Environmental protection represents one of the most important issues today, while the major part of negative impact on our planet is caused by human behaviour, consequently the whole world has to suffer from the damage. Climate change, different types of pollution, carbon emissions, deforestation, wildlife extinction and similar issues grow in scale every day. If the current condition does not change our planet will no longer be habitable for generations to come. Thus, choosing a more environmentally friendly lifestyle and focusing on sustainable development and pro-environmental actions are the best solutions to decreasing negative influence on earth. It is of a paramount importance that every single individual understands the necessity to take an action, because all of us contribute to the deterioration of our environment. For this reason, by bringing together young people from 5 different countries, the project aimed to draw attention to upholding environmentally friendly values and behaviour. Climate change, deforestation, increasing waste, global warming, the greenhouse effect, all of them endanger life of every single creature on earth, they destroy ecosystems and biodiversity and life on earth and under water. Hundreds of research prove that all of the above-mentioned problems are caused and enlarged by human behaviour. While some people understand that it is time to change their lifestyles to adapt to more sustainable life choices, many of us still do not consider environmental issues relevant. At the same time, there is a lack of awareness about the subject, thus, projects like this become essential for increasing sensibility about the topic, which will further add environmental problems to the social and political agenda and will enable youth to share their knowledge and experience. The main objective of the project was to discover global issues related to ecology and environmental protection by 30 young people from Poland, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Spain, and Cyprus, and develop possible and achievable solutions for them in the fields of ecology and environmental protection. It also aspired at letting young people get to know each other and explore ways to improve their own environment in their countries by creating an atmosphere to reflect on their own impact and behaviour. In addition, the project aimed at presenting participants with the Sustainable Development Goals, the mutual inspiration of youth and exchange of experiences, dissemination of pro-environmental values in local communities by the participants of the project, sharing of their cultures and improving language skills.
