Objectives

"GreenGo" has been a youth mobility project, focused on developing skills through a peer-to-peer approach by focusing on environment friendly behavior in everyday life themes. Through the digital collaboration before the mobility , two weeks of mobility of youth from three different countries (Poland, Portugal and Greece) and follow up activities , youth wanted to increase their knowledge about environment friendly practices on a daily basis. The objective has been to inspire and motivate youth workers and youth on how to be environmentally friendly in everyday activities, by the use of active, non-formal learning programs such as workshops, exercises, debates, plogging activity lead by youth leaders. This has been achieved by "learning by doing" method- as all activities were designed and planned by youth leaders with support of youth. By implementing this project youth leaders and youth did not only improve their knowledge about sustainability, environment, but also improved soft skills such as leadership, creativity, own initiative, time management, project management .The leaders and youth also learned more about the Erasmus+ program and shared the opportunities to their peers and developed the language skills. Mobility has been designed to pay high attention to ecological awareness, with the intention to recycle, segregate, zero food waste etc, -by performing practical actions that directly contribute to the sustainability of learning mobilities. These sustainable actions were implemented and reported (with the help of the program organizations ) by participants. By participating and implementing this youth exchange we wanted to: a) Increase the motivation to take small steps towards ecology in small towns b) Increase awareness about green living and climate change among youth exchange participants and their peers. c) enhance own initiative of youth leaders and generate new ideas and best practices d) exchange experience with youth from Portugal, Greece and Poland e) develop international network for the organizations youth and youth leaders f) support the professional development of us, as youth leaders and our leadership skills g) raise participants' awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries, offering the opportunity h) to build networks of -international contacts, i) to actively participate in society and develop a sense of European citizenship and identity; j) to increase the capacities, attractiveness and international dimension of participating organisations - ensure better k) recognition of competencies gained through the learning periods abroad (YouthPass)
