The project we carried out was devoted to issues related to ecology and environmental protection. Through its implementation, we wanted to create a space for joint exploration of knowledge, joint work, education and learning, and to focus on topics that we do not have time to reflect on every day, and which concern us all. This especially applies to young people who hear a lot about climate change, ecology, environmental protection, climate warming, but do not really know what these issues are about, how they are related and related, and how their everyday life affects the environment. This evokes a sense of ecological anxiety in them - a phenomenon described for the first time in 2018, and is a very complex phenomenon that shows how the natural environment of man, the economy and the lives of individuals are interconnected. It is a very complex network of mutual dependencies. The withdrawal of plastic bags or the use of renewable energy sources is only the first step in counteracting, but it does not explain the phenomenon itself. Climate anxiety is a new affliction of our time, especially affecting young people, and is already changing the global economy. Climate change, life in constant danger, do not foster emotional stability, especially for young people who, in a few dozen years, will take over the world we leave them. Droughts, floods, and evacuation from disaster-prone areas all cause stress, mental health, and a general deterioration in health. More and more young people give up having children, taking into account the problem of overpopulation, more and more often they turn to nature, fleeing civilization. Scientists say that the mere information about the deepening troubles of our planet can lead to a nervous breakdown, calling it climate anxiety. The American Psychological Association (APA) has published a 69-page booklet on psychological changes resulting from environmental troubles. Thanks to this project, young people could not only find time and space to learn about these types of issues, but also think together about what they can do themselves, how their way of life, the way of life that prevails in their cultures and their countries may have an impact on the climate , ecology, environmental protection. At the same time, meeting in beautiful natural circumstances (the organization is located in the heart of Zakopane -), they could meet participants from other countries, learn about their cultures, values, and beliefs, learn tolerance, openness, overcome fears and acquire a number of soft skills related to using learn and use English, presentations, communication, work in a group or in an international team. Thanks to this project, young people could not only meet, get to know each other, establish international relations, but also get to know interesting and useful knowledge in the field that applies to everyone of them. Currently, despite various actions related to the fight against global warming (eg Youth Climate Strike), young people know little about ecology and caring for the natural environment. Young people do not know, for example, that through their choices, the consumer has a minimal impact on the environment - e.g. we can buy less, throw away less food, buy local, seasonal products, upcycling our old things, exchange things that we no longer use, eat less meat. These types of habits, which will be repeated by a large social group, can really contribute to the improvement of our quality of life and the condition of the planet. During the exchange, they could look at these phenomena, test them during workshops and joint work. In addition, the project was an opportunity to talk and learn about ecological issues and the impact of young people on environmental protection - both in their own countries and globally. The project was designed to find new, innovative ways to solve significant environmental problems at the local and global level, to discuss problems that occur in Europe, especially climate change, and human impact on the environment. Supplementing the lack of knowledge in young people about sustainable development, ecology, pro-ecological consumer attitudes. The most effective form of learning was that the participants largely acquired this knowledge themselves during the exchange and the entire project.
