Together with partner organisations, we decided to create an exchange that allowed us to use the potential of young people and the Internet to realize the need to save our beautiful planet. "Digital eco warriors" is a youth exchange that united young people of different cultures, with different opportunities to become ecological warriors using social media, their own ideas and skills. Participants delved into the topic of ecology, creativity and social media. Young people co-creating the project were guided by their own experiences and methods of informal education. Above all, we wanted young people to take the initiative to act, so that they could contribute to improving the ecological situation in the world with the help of social media and digital skills. The young people also got to know various good examples of active organisations, which strengthened their willingness to act not only on a personal and local level, but also to engage on a larger scale as active EU citizens. Another goal of the exchange was to reach people with fewer opportunities as well as people who have never participated in Erasmus + projects before. Participants had an unforgettable intercultural experience and gained new knowledge about the countries involved in the project. They learned what a powerful tool informal education and social media are, contributing to the promotion of values such as environmental protection, active citizenship and equality. Thanks to the exchange, young people not only delved into the subject of ecology and technology, but also developed their creativity, sense of confidence, willingness to take initiative and responsibility as young citizens. Young people feel the need to feel empowered and equal with others. Together with the help of group leaders and members of the organization, we realized the participants' need for a safe and friendly environment for learning and development, free of hate and prejudice, where participants could look for their own ideas and solutions to ecological problems. Above all, we wanted young people to take the initiative to act, so that they could contribute to improving the ecological situation in the world using social media and digital skills. We developed environmental awareness in them and strengthened their willingness to act not only on a personal and local level, but also to engage on a larger scale as active EU citizens. We believe that social media has great power to unite people and raise public awareness. Thanks to our exchange, we contributed to the need to make young people aware of ecological problems and how to use social media to spread this awareness on a larger scale. These people have been prioritized. People from the local community who have not had a chance to take part in an international exchange and meet peers from other countries. These activities helped us achieve two priority goals: 1. Social inclusion, involvement and equality of all participants regardless of their origin, religion, health, sexual orientation or social status 2. Breaking stereotypes: In our opinion, a well-organized youth exchange and meeting of participants from different cultures and backgrounds is one of the best ways to prevent tolerance, hate and racism Additional goals include: - Making young people aware of ecological problems on many levels. Starting from everyday choices and changing harmful activities to more environmentally friendly ones, to actions on a larger scale, raising public awareness and engaging in ecological projects . -Creating innovative novel ideas and enhancing creativity and critical thinking - Creating valuable publicly available online materials. -Promoting the idea of continuous acquisition of new competences and skills as well as lifelong learning - Raising professional, language and personal competences of participants - Spreading European Union values and knowledge about Erasmus+ - Tightening international cooperation, strengthening cooperation and teamwork - Raising the sense of agency and self-confidence of participants - Reducing unemployment by strengthening key professional skills and competences as well as promoting innovative ideas.
