Objectives

The idea for the project itself was conceived more than 2 years ago and was developed by us thanks to the remote work of people from Spain, Poland and Italy. At the stage of applying and then organizing the project, we wanted to invite peers to co-create with us a project based on the exchange of experiences, worldviews and expressing them in the form of art, such as rap. In a group of 21 people (including national group leaders) from Spain, Poland and Italy, we took part in an exchange that aimed to increase our sense of agency and develop in us a greater responsibility for the changes we can make for the benefit of people, communities, our localities. All thanks to the exchange of experiences and reflections on life, workshops on rapping techniques, lyric writing, voice emission and joint activities for the final result (a rap song recorded in the studio in multiple languages and made available to the web in the form of a music video). Acting during the conception of the project with methods such as design thinking and analyzing our observations and research results, we realized that young people (our peers) often do not know how much influence they have on their surroundings and how much depends on them. We wanted to understand the idea of being involved ourselves and express our beliefs in the form of a rap song with a music video, for which together we were to create music, lyrics and learn how to rap it through workshops during the exchange. We planned to share the results in one material. During the exchange, however, we realized that it would be more reasonable to: a) to create several pieces, in different styles, and invite other artists to join in on volunteering, b) to share short fragments of the pieces one by one, to then combine all of them into one, inviting peers to collaborate on the result even after the project is over What hasn't changed, however, are the goals we achieved through the project. We wanted to: -help ourselves, peers and recipients of our activities to exchange experiences and reflections on being active individuals and understanding what it means to influence the environment, -increase their skills and know-how in: managing international projects, conducting their own workshops for a multicultural group, rapping techniques/creating lyrics or music, or influencing the local community, -break through language barriers and develop language skills, -reach a minimum of 4,000 people from our countries and Europe with our productions resulting from our exchange work, -develop in ourselves and the audience an attitude of openness to other cultures and countries, -to learn about the opportunities offered by European programs such as Erasmus+, Final - instead of the planned 5 minutes of the song, we created more than 8 minutes of rap to several background music. We made sure that even people inexperienced in this form of creation could fulfill themselves by recording their first music video or supporting.
