Nowadays, discrimination is a serious social problem. People are judged and discriminated because of their origin, religion, sexual orientation, skin color, gender, dressing style, diet. Discrimination causes people to feel unsafe, oppressed and stigmatized. It takes away their chance for personal development, education, career and interpersonal relations. We want to create a youth exchange between countries from Central and Eastern Europe. We decided to invite organizations from these countries to participate in the project, because this region of Europe is currently facing similar difficulties - due to the lack of colonialism history, for many years elements of education on tolerance and other distant cultures were absent in formal teaching. In addition - the participating countries are almost uniform, both religious and culturally. All this results in a lack of understanding of diversity and frequent duplication of false stereotypes. The goals of youth exchange are understanding the concept of tolerance and the ability to define it, making people aware of the problem of intolerance in the modern world, shaping tolerance attitudes towards people, developing the ability to perceive manifestations of intolerance, and understanding the causes of intolerance.
