We wanted to form an international dialogue platform, which main concern is the debate and counteracting the sexism and violence affecting young people. Our priority is to improve the services that we offer to sexism victims and to learn and comprehend ways in which other European organizations address the power abuse problem when working with youth. The main goals of the project were: -Understanding the forms of abuse suffered by youth, through analysis of the everyday sexism phenomena in the society. Youth workers from our organisation need to acquire tools for early signs of power abuse and misuse identification, and knowledge on how to react when they occur, in order to support young abuse victims with whom they work. -Exchanging of tools regarding ways of detecting everyday sexism and counteracting this kind of abuse. We were seeking to gain in-depth knowledge of the participating entities, as well as the main tools with which they resolve violence and abuse situations related to everyday sexism when working with young people. The ‘know-how’ of other organizations, as well as making our system and tools internationally known and to receive feedback from other professionals is one of the pillars of this project. -Creating a strong network for international cooperation regarding counteracting everyday sexism in youth. Our organization was looking to develop programs and ideas for future collaboration with project partners (possible actions KA1, KA2 or KA3). The reason for developing far-reaching programs together was that this project was expected to expand our understanding of new, effective methods of innovative action, regarding violence and abuse related to everyday sexism in youth communities; We wanted to further explore it to obtain a greater and long-lasting impact on the society.
