Objectives

The project 'Stop misinformation!' was created through a joint action of young people from Poland, Spain, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria. Nowadays, almost all of us use the Internet, but not all of us are aware of the manipulation techniques others can use online to achieve their goals. The main aim of the project was to equip youth workers with the competences and tools necessary to strengthen critical thinking skills and use them to receive media messages, particularly on the Internet, which will have an impact on preventing the spread of false information by young people, including those at risk of exclusion or social exclusion. Specific objectives included: - to share good practices and methods of working with young people in developing a critical attitude, to identify media manipulation and prevent the spread of false information, especially on social media - to be aware of the risks of participants to media manipulation and its impact on young people, - to learn and use tools for critical thinking and analytical skills, - learning about tools for identifying fake news online and offline and assessing the credibility of information - learning about the work of journalists - experts in critical thinking, sourcing and verifying information through a visit to a portal's editorial office - to broaden their knowledge of youth work methodology, including through online tools, which they used to prepare lesson plans - in order to improve their skills in the use of online tools, conducting lessons with young people offering them support to increase accessibility - promoting intensive contacts with young people from the different countries, s. presenting the situation, everyday life and culture of the participating countries and exchanging information.
