"Mens Sana in Corpore Sano" was an Erasmus+ training course aiming at self-awareness and wellbeing in Youth Work, providing a concrete space for participants to understand the relevance of self-awareness and wellbeing competences in their own personal and professional environment and balance, and towards the young people they work with. The project had a clear focus on how to overcome the wellbeing obstacles created by the Covid-19 spreading and the war in Ukraine, considering the consequences in youth work through the months. The objectives settled by our partnership are: - to analyse and develop activities oriented to wellbeing and its practice in a daily life, including self-awareness and balance at a physical and mental level; - to provide youth workers and their young groups with knowledge and understanding on how to manage, organise and adapt their professional and personal environment and spaces during and after the pandemic; - to enable youth workers and their Organisations and working teams to deal with stress, emotions and new techniques and methods, including the excessive online live we are pushed into; - to give ease and release in the times of a post-pandemic and support to reorganise ideas for youth work and how to adapt to the circumstances and changes; - to reconnect with our environment, nature, life, balance, work and young people and prepare to a full re-socialisation approach; - to share experiences and emotions that are unexpected, unprecedented and stressful for youth workers; - to mitigate the sense of negative feelings and isolation looking at how to re-socialise within a regular life in the post pandemic; - to have a wellbeing youth workers’ experience within the Erasmus+ Programme. Our Training Course took place in a peaceful environment in the town of Nieborów in Poland from 11th to 18th March 2023.
