Gender equality policy and the involvement of women in public and political processes have been of interest to the international community for several decades. Gender equality, including gender parity in decision-making, has been identified as a priority area in a number of legal documents adopted by various international bodies In particular, "Achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls" is one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The UN documents list the obligations of states, i.e.: ensuring the equal right of women and men to exercise all civil and political rights (IPPPiO); to take all measures to eliminate discrimination against women in the political life of the country and to ensure that women, on equal terms with men, have the right to participate in the formulation and implementation of government policy (UN Convention - CEDAW of 1979). The political influence of women and men is disproportionate, as women often have difficulty dealing with party leaders, being heard and pursuing their own political priorities. Political parties are dominated by men, of whom 85.8% are men in leadership positions. Our project implemented the RE recommendation regarding the development of training programs in the field of personal and leadership development for young women. Women make up 50% of society, so they deserve equal representation in power structures. Without this, the interests of women, their demands and legal solutions favorable to them are not taken into account. We should follow the example of highly developed countries and involve women in political decision-making, starting from the local level, and dispel their leadership and sense of agency. These problems have been noticed by all org. partners and in their strategies for the next years of work included the goal - to increase their potential in the field of activating young women to participate in political life, building attitudes of political leadership and organizing projects on this subject. In order to do so, their employees needed to acquire practical competences, learn about innovative tools and working methods, primarily digital tools and new technologies. Together, we decided to meet these needs and organize training for 24 youth workers from Poland, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece and Estonia. The goals of the project were: 24 youth workers of partner organizations were trained and acquired new competences in working with young women in order to integrate them into political life; participants getting to know innovative and practical tools and methods of work used in the process of non-formal and peer education (including digital tools and new technologies), and their implementation in partner organizations, which will allow them to successfully organize projects/workshops/social campaigns on political leadership for young women in partner countries and strengthen their leadership skills so that in the future they have a committed and active participation as partners in the development and implementation of policies, programs and processes low participation of women in political life in partner countries development of a manual in a multimedia form containing the learning outcomes achieved during the training, workshop scenarios, developed methods, goals to be achieved for the future and disseminating it among other non-governmental organizations creating a space for the exchange of good practices and discussion on how to involve young women more actively in decision-making and political processes development of the potential and educational offer of partner organizations with new methods for activating women in decision-making and political processes; promoting and strengthening women's activism as a democratic standard; raising awareness of political gender inequality, the importance of equal representation of women and men in all branches and levels of political power, and combating gender stereotypes; promotion of the Erasmus+ program among organizations that have never participated in it before and in partner countries; developing sustainable cooperation between NGOs from Erasmus+ program and partner countries. decisions that concern them participants learn about innovative methods used in the process of informal education and peer education, how to break taboos and stereotypes related to the participation of women in politics and decision-making processes.
