The project activities will enable the inclusion of digital technologies in a school curriculum and into students' study routines. One of the key objectives of our project was to embed digital technology across continuous professional development of students and teachers who would be able to use digital technology effectively. Teachers will incorporate appropriate digital technologies and teaching strategies to enable the development of students’ literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum. Owing to the project activities, students would be able to use appropriate digital technologies to foster their studying and apply educational apps in practice in a lifelong learning. “DigitAll” exchange programs facilitate exchanging of good practices with partner schools, cross-cultural understanding and improving language skills.
The main reason for applying for "DigitAll" project was the result of the observations of the current trends in students' everyday life and the research conducted among students in the partner schools before submitting the project. The results revealed that students are eager to use the Internet and various apps for having fun mainly, but they are not able to use them properly for educational purposes to enhance studying and make it much easier and effective. The rapid pace of technological development has had a significant impact on education teaching habits as well. As for educators, it is important to integrate technology into the curriculum instead of viewing it as an add-on, to help students to be more conscious about using the Internet for educational purposes and integrate technology usage into their study routines. Our aim was to engage students in ways that would increase their learning and ultimately groom them for the digital workforce of tomorrow. Furthermore, there are learning apps that equip students with future-ready skills they need to apply for jobs of the future. As more and more employers demand potential employees to be technology literate, it is obvious that students need digital literacy to begin their career.
