"Healthy Mind - Resilience, Strength and Focus" was a project about shaping the mind and character. The goal of the project was to learn how to respond appropriately to adversities encountered in life, and to equip young people with the ability to adapt to changing conditions, the ability to recover lost or weakened strength, and resilience to stress. The project fostered mental competencies such as self-confidence and self-worth, strength of character, attentiveness, courage, compassion and drive. Its aim was also to guide students with different techniques and methods that we can use to deal with stres and pressure. During the project the participants also learnt about professional institutions and organisations that help people with mental problems.
The project "Healthy Mind - Resilience, Strength and Focus" is the fourth Erasmus+ project implemented by Zespół Szkół Ekonomicznych in Leszno and an important part of the realization of the school's goals and objectives. Applying for the project was therefore also a response to the need to diversify and enrich the school's teaching offer. The theme of the project responded to the needs of young people both at the beneficiary school and at the partner schools regarding the identification of opportunities for dealing with contemporary problems. The need to work on adolescents' mental health became all the more clear to teachers at a time after the covid 19 pandemic and the return of traditional schooling and increased social contact. Youth repeatedly reported problems with focus, lack of motivation to learn and effective time management. The activities planned in the project responded to these needs, and the project funds made it possible to implement them.
