First of all,our primary purpose was to make schools a more enjoyable and fun place for everyone including all the staff,teachers,pupils by enhancing the social facilities,chiefly with two activities cycling and music that are combined under the same shadow of recreation.Another aim was to integrate biking and music into school subjects which would enable the lectures more attractive and informative and practical .Another one was to raise the awareness of using bikes to commute ,for transportation and for sports not only for the school also for the parents and other dwellers at school neighbourhood.That goal was closely related to the environmental issues,too.So,another vital goal could be stated as to encourage the school staff,students also parents and neighbourhood dwellers to ride bikes instead of public tarnsportation so that we could contribute to the protection of environment by reducing air pollution.The more people cycle,the less they pollute the air with cars and tarnsportation vehicles.Music has a universal language and cycling is a fun sports activity.By using the language of music and the pedals of bikes,we intented to create gorgeous school atmospheres and more entertaining lessons and good examples for the others.
During the pandemic times, when most of the schools were closed and all the lessons were going online.We as teachers and students got so bored.We felt isolated and unsociable.These were the disadvantages and of course,online edcuation had some advantages too which opened a global door to learning and changed the view of education and combined us under the same umbrella of purposes,namely social and cooperative international learning.While we were doing online English lessons,We as coordinator school met with the Turkish school and had done cooperative English lessons together as two schools.Then,our Turkish partner told us they were also doing an etwinning project with a French High school and she suggested that we could also start an Erasmus partnership as three schools.She had also a recommedation of a very appealing topic that we all agreed on.The topic was closely related to social side of schools which most schools lack.The needs we have addressed were social,musical and recreational activities and also sports and environmental issue is covered with cycling .Having thought that the students felt so worn out and fed up with being alone at homes,we applied for the project which is mainly based on biking and music.
