The aim of the "Equality and Diversity" project was to increase the knowledge of 4 employees and people involved in running the ProActo fundation and Kauno technologijos universiteto Studentų atstovybė and to exchange good practices between organizations in the field of education and dissemination of knowledge among young people about diversity, inclusive activities and mutual respect and tolerance
The essential element in celebrating respect for identity and a sense of belonging to a common set of values is the acknowledgement of diversity. Promoting mutual respect and tolerance is a long-term process that must start with bottom-up initiatives directly involving young people. It is the responsibility of organisations active in the youth sector to listen to the voices of marginalised young people and foster positive attitudes towards differences. It is crucial to promote diversity and inclusion, and to build relationships based on values and principles in line with human rights and guided by mutual respect.
