Through the implementation of the project, we wanted to create a tool - an online platform and reach our target group: adults, especially people aged 50+, who feel the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. We intended to develop, test and put into use an online multi-tool that: - it will allow us to respond to the needs of adults affected by the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, diagnosed today and diagnosed in the future, and in particular to provide this group of recipients with real help in improving their mental and physical condition, - it will allow for a significant increase in the number of people with fewer opportunities who will benefit from non-vocational, non-formal adult education in the countries participating in this project, and in the longer term - also in other countries. Through the implementation of the project, we also wanted to develop the skills of adult education staff in our organizations, increase the potential and importance of our institutions, develop our potential for international cooperation and develop a network of partners conducting non-vocational adult education.
The project was a response to the needs of people struggling with the negative effects of the pandemic. Many of them had to limit social contacts, adapt to new ways of performing professional work, and struggled with stress due to their own illness, the illness of loved ones, and often also the loss of them. The organizations participating in this project, based on the research conducted, jointly developed a solution addressed to all adults, especially people aged 50+, seeking support in regaining their physical and mental well-being. For this purpose, we used a medium that has become an irrevocable element of our lives - the Internet. As part of this project, we have created an online platform in 6 languages as part of open educational resources. The tool is a response to the needs of many adults, especially people aged 50+, who are struggling with the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The platform is intended to reach a huge number of people with forms of non-formal education who have not been able to use it due to limitations - e.g. geographical or financial - so far. The project has the potential to contribute to the inclusion of many people in non-vocational, non-formal adult education.
