The partnership formed by 4 NGOs, with different nature of activities (Poland - Spain - Netherlands - Greece) had the potential to, through exchange of experience and good practices, develop tailored to the needs and capabilities of the selected 2 target groups (people 55+ and HR trainers/specialists) free and innovative tools in the working environment of people 55+. The initiation and implementation of activities aimed at the development of an innovative development program, supporting the concept of lifelong learning provides a great opportunity to promote the perception of education of people 55+ as an integral part of the whole human life, its penetration into the institutions working for people 55+ in the EU and in the workplace, involving, among others: HR departments, entrepreneurs, leaders. Indeed, the MAIN OBJECTIVE of the PROJECT was to increase the professional potential of trainers and employees of HR departments, professional leaders (1 GOAL GROUP) by working with a comprehensive educational program, enabling employees 55+ (2 GOAL GROUP) to learn how to trigger and increase social and professional engagement by focusing on internal sources of motivation and positive communication in multi-generational teams.
The development of the educational and development program "SWITCH ON" was a response to the problem of exclusion social and professional exclusion among Europeans aged 55+ in today's labor market. This exclusion resulted and continues to result from the long-term social isolation associated with the pandemic, and consequently also the failure to adapt to the requirements of the modern market based on new technologies, the cessation of investment in the personal development of the employee, a sense of meaninglessness, a decrease in commitment and motivation to change. Indeed, the lack of adequate preparation of the working environment of people 55+ carries a huge risk of another crisis manifested in: a sense of lack of understanding, professional and social alienation and absenteeism associated with the lack of mental well-being of the employee.
