Objectives

Our project's primary aim was to facilitate the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and competencies to inform future initiatives. As a result of our collaborative efforts, we are now equipped with the development of an extensive educational curriculum focused on establishing social collectives and an online e-learning platform. Recognizing the multifaceted nature of this endeavor, we endeavored to not only refine our practical skills but also broaden our understanding of various aspects surrounding social entrepreneurship. This required us to delve deeper into the complexities of the field and emerge as true experts capable of navigating its intricacies. Through the sharing of best practices and the identification of common challenges, we have laid the groundwork for coordinated action in the realm of social entrepreneurship. Our commitment to continuous learning and collaboration ensures that we are well-prepared to execute our future initiatives with precision and efficacy.

Background

The project tackles the urgent need for comprehensive social entrepreneurship education. Recognizing its infancy in the EU, we collaborated on transnational exchange to deepen our understanding. A professional consortium was formed to develop advanced training concepts tailored for aspiring social entrepreneurs. This resulted in a detailed guide equipping them with necessary knowledge and skills. With insights from partners, including two social cooperatives from Poland and Italy, we provided both theoretical frameworks and practical solutions. Observing a lack of support for young entrepreneurs, especially in fields like vertical farming, we focused on fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among adults in this sector. Leveraging ICT tools, we aimed to enhance learning and access to resources, boosting participants' presence in the labor market or advancing their ventures. A key outcome is a crowdsourcing platform, facilitating collaboration and innovation in urban agriculture. Our efforts not only addressed the immediate need for social entrepreneurship education but also laid the groundwork for sustained growth and impact in this critical field.
