The following goals of the project were assumed: 1. to improve the quality of education of students in the field of issues related to sustainable development and to link the educational offer of the university more closely to the needs of the labor market (skills of the staff - at least 30 people, knowledge and skills of students - at least 200 people) 2. improvement of methods of working in international teams in the system of mentors - students 3. students' understanding of cultural differences between different regions of Europe, mutual learning and search for common priorities for sustainable development through local action using global experience 4. to develop methods to improve the quality of public spaces in historic city centers 5. development of a case study: Sustainable Urban Space Pavilion - improving the quality and enriching the utility program of public space through the implementation of a new facility. The project developed: Rez1. Collaboration models Rez 2. Didactic modules Rez 3. Webinars Rez 4. Remote working system using VR tools Rez 5. Guidelines for sustainable proj. in historic areas.
The motivation for undertaking this project was the experience of distance learning and during pandemics, which can be used in the future to improve the teaching process and strengthen links between university centers in the future. Social, technological and cultural factors, as well as the phenomenon of globalization, are posing new challenges to university graduates, and these also apply to the profession of architecture. Studies must equip graduates with the competence to: 1) working in multinational groups (group work as completely remote and hybrid), 2) acquiring information for design in a distance formula 3) proficiency in solving environmental problems, preventing climate change, proposing solutions in the spirit of sustainable development. It is these priorities that have become the leitmotif of the project. As part of it, didactic models were developed and tested, which can be implemented at partner universities individually or in combination, in onsite, online and hybrid formats. Their innovation lies in the use of a combination of teaching forms with the use of modern techniques and technologies (VR and AR), in pursuit of sustainability goals.
