The main purpose of the "Prototype" project was to examine the problem of 'school-based bullying", its reasons, a devastating impact on a school society and to introduce tailor- made outputs and innovative strategies to fight against school-based bullying. With this project, we aimed at increasing the professional qualities of the teachers able to apply anti-bullying solutions in the partner schools, decreasing the problem of peer bullying, violence and the issue of early schooling absenteeism. Other objectives were as follows: to learn the solutions applied in different countries and to discover anti- bullying key skills of our partners who are experiencing the same problem, to strengthen teaching skills of school administrators and teachers to prevent violence, to ensure that the students who have suffered the act of violence are recruited to adopt common values, to reduce the number of bullyying disciplinary offenses at schools, to produce educational materials to prevent bullying. Owing to the final project results such as: a Risk Analysis, a Factor and Needs Analysis, a Bullying Prevention Programme, Anti- bullying Computer Games, teachers, students, school staff and all target groups were more aware of anti-bullying tools.
The main reason for applying for "Prototype" project was the research conducted among students in the partner schools before submitting the project and observations of the phenomena of bullying at partner schools. The Situation Analysis revealed that not only peer- bullying or cyberbullying harm the school environment, but the relationship between students, teachers and other school staff. The focus of the project was to emphasize the issue of bullying caused by the school staff towards the students and by students towards the school staff, which we call as ‘school- based bullying. Owing to the implementation of the project "Prototype" and the introduction of the innovative anti- bullying prevention programme and tools, the incidence of bullying at schools and among students, teachers and school staff can be limited or prevented at an early stage. Studies have found that people at any age who have been bullied can experience negative psychological, physical, and academic results that directly affect schools' general success and lead to failure in future life. School- based bullying is experienced worldwide, but it is often ignored, covered and not taken seriously. It is the leading cause of school disruption and early drop-outs.
