The goal of the project was to introduce sustainability issues into the education of vocational school students in Poland, Germany and Denmark in a practical and accessible way by developing a handbook with 48 lesson plans for students and VET staff by experts from the 3 countries, including materials for use in formal and non-formal education. The specific objectives were: - to fill the gap in vocational education programs with competencies for sustainable development by developing a good, practical and universal educational tool - to reach "peripheral areas of education" with sustainability - strengthening the flow of good practices for sustainable development between EU countries
The challenges the project was designed to address: - lack of practical, core-compatible tools for teaching professions in the spirit of sustainable development in schools - low awareness of sustainable development issues and the goals of Agenda 2030 among VET staff - the need to implement actions for the realization of sustainable development goals - adaptation of the language of the content of Agenda 2030 to the level of students and vocational education - inclusion of vocational education in the current climate debate in Europe - sensitizing representatives of various industries and professions to sustainable action in their professional lives - the need for transnational action for conscious management of the planet's resources
