Objectives

The implementation of the project in a trilateral partnership initiated activities to develop and support non-formal learning for young people, its penetration into formal education pathways in institutions working for the benefit of young people in the EU and in the workplace, involving among others: HR departments, entrepreneurs, leaders, educators, teachers, educators working on a daily basis with people 15+ (with social maladjustment, displaying risk-taking behaviour) by creating a new, comprehensive and at the same time innovative educational offer. The partnership, through its experience, worked to support capacity-building of youth workers and youth work and facilitate young people's transition into adulthood, especially inclusion into society on the basis of positive communication, inclusion into the labour market and the development of soft competences related to mindfulness, values, tolerance, communication in teamwork, proactivity in actions taken, coping with stress and negative emotions. Overcoming skills mismatch and exclusion was considered necessary and desirable by the partnership.

Background

The need to develop coaching competences - is in line with the strategy of the established partnership, promoting good youth work, assuming the development of programmes for the informal education of young people. The identification of gaps at national (Poland, Macedonia, Portugal) as well as European level in terms of initiatives promoting social inclusion and employability of young people with fewer opportunities (including young people with low soft skills and at risk of social maladjustment) - was the basis for the project and meeting the needs of the 2 target groups by enriching the educational offer with new (innovative at the same time!) methods of coaching work not yet popular on the European market. Topics attractive to young audiences in the areas of personal, social, emotional (dealing with aggression, stress) and pro-occupational development - included in "FREE YOUR MIND" - provide a great opportunity to support capacity building for those working with young people 15+ at risk of social maladjustment.
