We wanted to achieve many different goals as part of the project. First of all, the project aimed to strengthen cooperation between organizations and institutions, which was aimed at increasing the social capital of participants and associated partners. A key aspect of the project was to increase the role of young people in public debate. We aimed to achieve this by basing the main result of the project, i.e. the "Green Three Seas for Youth" Strategy, on the recommendations of young people. Thanks to this, young people had a real influence on shaping policies and activities related to ecology and the environment. The project also aimed to improve the competences of young people, which was to increase their chances of employment in the increasingly green economy of the future. As part of the project, the aim was to prepare, implement and popularize the "Green Labor Market - Green Competences" workshops. In addition, the project's activities were aimed at promoting civic activity, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship among young people and strengthening their employability. Conducting workshops in the organization's areas of activity was intended to educate young people and increase their ecological awareness and knowledge.
We applied for the implementation of the "Green Three Seas for Young People" project because, together with Partners from 9 countries: Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic, we noticed the needs of young people and local, national and international organizations in the field of education identifying priority areas for action in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal. Our goal was to integrate young people from industrial regions most exposed to unjust ecological transformation into the process of shaping the future of their environment. Our experience and observations showed that the voice of young people was still not strong enough in the public debate, and this type of project could be a way to strengthen it. As part of the project, we focused on two key areas: "Green Three Seas for Young People - Youth for the Green Three Seas" and "Green Labor Market - green competences of young people". In response to the weak voice of young people in the public debate, we have established cooperation with organizations representing industrial centers, which together have developed a strategy aimed at strengthening the image of young people in ecological topics.
