With the implementation of this project, our school has set some objectives: - To promote training activities for teachers aimed at developing and/or consolidating technological skills, oriented towards the importance of European citizenship using heritage as a pedagogical tool. - To improve and reinforce the language skills of the participants (students and teachers) in order to develop active and democratic citizenship skills through the reinforcement of intercultural education, respect for differences and dialogue between cultures. - Developing pupils' digital skills, focusing also on critical and conscious use of social networks and media. - Reinforcing school inclusion and the right to study for pupils with special educational needs, through the use and application of innovative methodological and technological skills aimed at valuing differences and personalising knowledge.
In the last years, our school has focused on developing new learning environments with the implementation of digital technologies. Despite the educational impact of these changes, not all teachers participated in this change or were not supported by adequate preparation or did not know the teaching potential of digital tools. One of our main objectives is to develop/consolidate the technological skills of teachers, and thinking about the internationalization of the school, to implement a new teaching dynamic oriented towards the importance of European citizenship using heritage as a pedagogical tool, and in this way raise awareness of European heritage and diversity through education. By deepening knowledge about heritage, learning about new teaching tools and methodologies and developing new digital skills, teachers diversified their pedagogical practice, constituting an added value for students. Our educational community, students, teachers and non-teaching staff will better understand the importance of a united Europe and acquire skills to protect and preserve the European heritage for future generations.
