Situated in a rural area, the Agrupamento de Escolas de Pinheiro is located in Termas de S. Vicente, Municipality of Penafiel, offering the population of this Municipality, mainly in the southern part of it, a diversified educational offer. which includes pre-school education, basic education and secondary education (science and technology and humanities courses), professional education (business and catering courses) and adult education and training courses (Qualifica). Currently, the great challenge for our organization is the need to act more actively in deciding and managing the curriculum, seeking to adapt and contextualize it to our reality, guaranteeing learning for such diverse subjects and with different degrees of interest compared to schoolchildren. . Curriculum management is sought, therefore, in which one takes into account that the way of learning and the difficulties of the students are not the same, which requires not only a deep knowledge of the students themselves, but also a mastery of multiple teaching strategies that can enhance their learning, thus responding to the new challenges posed to the school, such as, for example, in recent times, distance learning.
