Objectives

OSMOPE considers that participating in ERASMUS+ enhances the strategic strengthening of the professional skills of its employees. It also enhances organisational capacity in terms of internationalisation and the creation of transnational cooperation partnerships with organisations from other countries in order to produce innovative results and share information on best practices. Internationalization and interculturality are undeniable gains. If on the one hand everyone has access to different cultures through teachers and technicians performing mobility in Portugal, we also have OSMOPE employees as ambassadors of Portuguese culture, to carry out mobility in Countries of the European Union to ensure the expansion of their realities and take our culture across borders. The organisation of training weeks also contributes on a large scale to internationalisation at home; in this context we enable teachers, technicians and staff access to other cultures. By carrying out transnational mobility, a par excellence instrument for the development of skills and qualifications, they have contact with new teaching methodologies, new technologies and new work contexts. Contact with diferent languages.

Background

OSMOPE is a private, non-profit educational institution that carries out its activity at the level of daycare, kindergarten and first cycle. The construction of our identity was done with the commitment, professionalism and stability of the faculty and non-teaching. The support and continuity of the educational project with a strong connection to the city (institutions and people) allow the deepening of significant experiences in the field of early childhood. OSMOPE is involved in several investigations (master's and doctoral theses, partnerships with other institutions for action research projects, presence in colloquia and congresses), which ensure the fluidity of access to disciplinary knowledge, multiply opportunities for performance improvement, perform constant traffic between "theory and practice". Educators and teachers feel a constant need to have access to new ways of understanding educational action, which inspire them and encourage them to develop new pedagogical processes, expand knowledge, in a context of sharing and collaboration.
