In addition to the 3 key objectives that support our project (reinforcement of theoretical and practical contents, a different work context, and linguistic reinforcement), EPAD intended to promote in mobility participants the capacity to adapt to new contexts, in a logic of education for autonomy; demonstrate the importance of interpersonal relationships as a way of overcoming language barriers; promotion of teamwork, tolerance and respect for others; execution of concrete tasks in a work environment, different from the Portuguese one; reinforcing the acquisition of rules and behaviors appropriate to the exercise of professional activity; promote responsibility towards the environment, sustainable practices, and improvement of digital skills; as for the staff, it intended to improve digital literacy, in order to consolidate education in digital format in everyday life; promote the exchange of practices and scientific and technical knowledge. In short, our intention was also to achieve, through Erasmus, help to fill some needs in terms of social, professional, linguistic and digital skills, and the school's own process of cooperation and internationalization.
Our project is in line with EPAD's strategy to internationalize a solid network of partners & practices, which allow it to evolve and modernize itself as an educational institution, & adopting European guidelines, train better & more students, capable, empathetic, responsible, attentive and caring for the world around us & which is, at the same time, home to all of us. For 15 years, in our mission and practice, we've continuously invested in these steps because we believe in the relevance of European policies applied in a school context, but until now we have lacked the internationalization that we have embarked on with this project: from now on we will be able to provide participating students with a work experience outside the national territory, contributing to their personal & professional enrichment in the present & future, & to the participating staff a better and more diversified training, based on the exchange & discussion of practices, and exposure to other realities with which we share the purpose. The increase in the employability rate of these participants, combined with more diversified & comprehensive training are our goals & the project that we believe are in a growth phase, according to the first EQVET indicators
