Objectives

Universities are currently operating in a global environment and the commitment to internationalisation sets out in the Erasmus Policy Statement continues to be one of the strategic axes for UTAD.The Erasmus project is fundamental to the development of UTAD's international dimension, due to its scope, impact on the academic community, and cooperation with stakeholders, enabling the development of the knowledge triangle (teaching, industry, and innovation) and alignment with the needs of the labor market. Student mobility (1, 2 and 3 cycles) along with staff mobility, innovative curricular modules and Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs), the ECTS system, which is extremely important in the architecture of the University Area, bilateral cooperation programs inside and outside Europe, thematic networks and research projects are essential objectives in the construction of UTAD's internationalization strategy. Increasing the number of student flows (studies and internships) and staff flows (teaching and training) are crucial to fostering multilateral cooperation, which is essential for UTAD's sustainability (in a low-density territory), as an inclusive university open to the city, the region, the country and the world.
