The Erasmus+ ALSUD consortium was set up in 2012 between the University of Lisbon, the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, the University of Évora, the Polytechnic Institute of Beja and the University of Algarve with the mission of strengthening the partners' internationalisation strategies and benefiting from the synergies that a consortium can bring. The project's objectives are as follows: a) promote an increase in the number of participants in mobility; b) encourage employability and the differentiation of students and recent graduates; c) strengthen the link between the partner HEIs and the business community by promoting the offer of professional internships in Portugal; d) promote staff training mobility; e) publicise the cooperation opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme; f) promote the development of blended intensive programmes; g) promote the adoption of new, flexible, inclusive and sustainable mobility formats; h) contribute to the capacity building of the HEIs that are part of the Consortium, strengthening their national and international positioning, facilitating access to funding and participation in larger cooperation projects; i) promote the sharing of good practices, solutions and experiences between HEI.
