Background

Education for Citizenship 3.0 is a project developed by partners from formal and non formal education sectors that have prior experience of working in close cooperation to better address the complexity, diversity and fast changing reality of the needs and interest of students and education currently. The information which was structured in the teachers online training and the training referential (project results) were a concrete need identified and an opportunity for schools to develop professionally in the curricula of “Citizenship” due to its complexity, variety of topics and constant need of updating information and connection with local civil society. From NGO´s perspective, applying for this project meant having the opportunity to work closely with a school in a more frequent and intentional plan of ongoing interventions aimed at enhancing democratic culture for young people and adults. Working closely every day with different targets to promote participation and the importance of the democratic model in local and international contexts, we have registered the need to create more and more opportunities for structured meetings and training within institutions (such as schools).
